Amputee Training Program For Lower Extremity Amputees!

Achieve Your Maximum Level!

Lower extremity amputees can expect a two year learning curve when adapting to a prosthetic limb and working to maximize their abilities. To facilitate this transition, most insurance companies will cover four months of post-amputation therapy. How, then, do amputees continue to build strength and gain balance for 20 months after the insurance-covered physical therapy ends? The answer for Mid-Michigan amputees: Step Up Amputee Walking Clinic.

The Step Up program provides continued service to amputees who are striving to reach their maximum functional level as the recovery process is ongoing after physical therapy and rehab care are discontinued. The purpose of the program is to ensure that local area amputees have community support to reach their maximum functional level on a prosthetic limb.
