“I chose to go to Bremer and I am so happy I did.”

“On March 12, 2012 I was in a motorcycle accident. I went to Hurley hospital for my amputation. I had known Kris Wise prior to my amputation and knew he worked at Bremer Prosthetics and knew I had a choice on my prosthetic care. I chose to go to Bremer and I am so happy I did. It feels great to get back up on my feet. They have an outstanding staff, keep up the good work!”

“They’ve done everything in their power to make sure I’ve been able to stay doing what I love, including riding bulls”.

“My whole life I grew up playing sports. From soccer, baseball, and basketball to competing in rodeos in events like the bull riding. I’ve always been on the go, always doing something fast paced and physically strenuous. When I was 16 years old, I got in a rollover car accident which resulted in a below the knee amputation of my right leg. I knew this wouldn’t slow me down much, as not much does, and immediately started physical therapy. I was soon fitted with my first prosthesis (not by Bremer) and knew it wouldn’t be long before I’d be back to my active self.

I asked about getting back to bull riding, which was met with hesitation. I was basically told that there were some things I’d never do again and I’d have to adjust accordingly. At that point I knew I was going to have to go somewhere else. I was referred to Bremer, and going to them was one of the best decisions I’ve made. They immediately got me into a better fitting prosthesis which allowed me to be way more active. They’ve done everything in their power to make sure I’ve been able to stay doing what I love, including riding bulls. I’ve been able to return to riding bulls competitively on a week in and week out basis and stay as physically active as I’ve wanted to be. Aside from that, they’ve treated me like family from the very first time I came in the door. I couldn’t thank the crew enough for everything they’ve done for me. I’m so grateful to be at a place where my passion has been supported to the fullest and for the tireless work that has gone into making sure I can still pursue it. It’s truly been a blessing and I can’t thank the entire Bremer crew enough for support and care they’ve given me.”

“They are there for you from day one and will stick with you to no end.”

“Bremer Prosthetics is an outstanding company. They are a very close knit group and are very caring about their patients. They are there for you from day one and will stick with you to no end. They are not in the business for the money, they are in it because they truly care about their patients and do whatever it takes to treat everyone with the highest quality of care. I am now able to continue on with my daily life as the owner of Strawberry Fields Farm and I couldn’t have done it with all of the help and support from the team at Bremer Prosthetics.”

“I received exceptional care at Bremer and a socket which is much more comfortable than what I previously had.”

“I lost my leg in 2012 in an accident and I had several surgeries before making the difficult decision to amputate my leg. There were many uncertainties with the surgeries which could have left me even worse off, so I decided my best option was to go with the amputation. I went to the location which I had my surgeries for my prosthesis. From there I was attending Physical Therapy at Mid-Michigan Health in Midland which is where I learned about the free Step Up! Classes that were being offered at Mid-Michigan Health by Bremer Prosthetics.

While attending Step Up! I had met Scott and Jared and they were great right from the start. I had asked them many questions and from there decided I would give Bremer Prosthetics a try. I received exceptional care at Bremer and a socket which is much more comfortable than what I previously had. They custom fit and fabricate the prosthesis right on site to be sure it is as comfortable as possible. They are willing to go above and beyond and go out of their way if you need anything. Anyone I talk to with a prosthesis, I always tell them about Bremer and how great my experience has been. I am now back to traveling, duck hunting, fishing, and working thanks to the help of Bremer Prosthetics.”

“I am now retired and enjoy the opportunity to be able to volunteer my time within the community and able to do so without any restrictions or concerns.”

“I started out on this journey when I lost my leg in 2014 to Diabetes. The Bremer staff has been with me every step of the way. I have always had their support and care, I know there are other places that do what they do but I am so pleased with the care I receive and I could not image going any place else. The whole staff is very caring, patient and concerned with how I am doing. Scott, Casey and Kris are all amputees who are employed at Bremer which makes it very easy when talking to someone in your shoes. I am now retired and enjoy the opportunity to be able to volunteer my time within the community and able to do so without any restrictions or concerns.”
